Unique Business Blogging Experiment Targets Mark Cuban, Owner of Dallas Mavericks
Jim Kukral, business-blogging expert, wants Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, to call him, and he's created a blogging experiment to see if he can make it happen.
"This is a first of its kind blogging experiment," said Mr. Kukral. "I want to see if I can use a quickly made blog and some inexpensive blog promotion techniques to get a person like Mark Cuban to notice me, and actually call me."
The point of this blogging experiment is to further prove the power of of instant publishing/blogging as an effective method of promoting your business online.
"If I can use a simple blog and a press release to get the attention of a successful businessman and mogul like Mark Cuban, then actually get him to call me, I can further prove that blogging is indeed a powerful way to get attention and accomplish specific goals, cheaply and quickly."
Kukral hopes that Mr. Cuban will be drawn to his offer from the creation of a press release through PrWeb.com.
"This blogging experiment only works if Mark finds my offer to call me on his own, either by reading this press release, or from some other bloggers writing about it and him becoming aware of it through them."
"Search engines love blogs, so the combination of this press release and the blog I created at http://www.markcubanpleasecallme.com should be enough to get Mr. Cuban's attention, and hopefully he'll give me a ring."
Kukral insists he has nothing to pitch to Mr. Cuban, and could have easily chosen some other famous person to target with the experiment.
"I feel that Mr. Cuban is a good target for my experiment because of his well-known work and successes in the blogosphere. His blog, http://www.blogmaverick.com, is a daily read of mine and millions of others, and his search engine Ice Rocket has been one of the Internet's most innovative when it comes to blogging."
He has provided a toll-free number for Mark to use. 1-888-BLOG-BIZ (256-4249).

This is interesting but how can you know if is it the real Mark Cuban calling you or an impersonator faking his voice, and, last but not the least, how will you get rid of all the useless calls you'll recieve on your public posted toll free number?
Isn't this just a (costful) method to measure the popularity of your blog?
Is your scope just to see how much time a crazy idea needs to catch on on the internet and bring traffic to your website?
One last question,
Are you experimenting with Mark Cuban or with blog readers?
My current opinion is that you are trying to get some fame using a celebrity name and the current buzz about the blogosphere, and justifying this with a pseudosocial experiment. Please try to change it.
